!!! Updated Upcoming Releases !!!
Explode and Make Up / Hellmouth split 7"
Detroit's positively fucking evil sounding black metal/hardcore band Hellmouth...(ex Suicide Machines singer if you care(y'know how ridiculously awesome it was when he'd scream in SM songs...yeah...it fuckin' like that all the time!! RAD!)). Explode and Make Up on a roll with the sophomore release... more "old man melodic hardcore" ...this time, the influences are driven to the obvious point as they cover Husker Du's song Crystal from the New Day Rising album! So PISSED! Both bands deliver one exclusive original and one cover song! Definitely a Rager!
Get Rad "What the Fuck Happened to Common Sense?!"
one sided LP(EP)
contender for the best release yet from these Milwaukee/Minneapolis dudes. This one is 8 songs and half parody/intro track that'll leave you thinking WWD4D?(the answer is of course Get Rad!)!! a one sied LP of about 16 minutes more of their raging, chaotic as fuck Minor Threat-ish hardcore. Stay Punk!
the Methadones Not Economically Viable LP.
the third Methadones album, a unique and amazing record...partially a concept record based on the movie Falling Down. They broke free a bit from the usual Ramones-core sound on this one and incorporated more of their power-pop influences that would be put on full display with the following record(their 21st Century Power Pop Riot - all cover song album, on Red Scare). For a lot of people this is their favorite Methadones album because it's so different...but hindsight being 20/20 EVERY record they do is kinda unique in it's own way! The band is going to finish recording at least one song for a bonus track that they started to record during these sessions...which I think is pretty cool! the complete recording overhaul / re-mastering by Matt Allison at Atlas Studio in Chicago(recorded every band you like) should be ready soon!
Ambition Mission "Discography/You Name It, We Hate It" CD or LP?
Not sure what we're gonna do with this...ideally all the songs in one package on 2 LPs, but maybe spread over 2 volumes separately...we'll see...kinda when I have the time/money to do it. One of the truly great punk rock bands from Chicago. They played a style akin to East Bay bands like Hickey, Crimpshrine or the Avengers but somehow made it all their own too. This is a REPRESSING of the very first Government Music release (my old record label). New art and lyrics!!! (pre This is My Fist, Fourth Rotor, Canadian Rifle & Chronic Seizure, 97 Shiki, among many other great bands the members have spent time in)!!
THE CD VERSION WILL BE EXACTLY THE SAME AUDIO CD AS THE GOV'T MUSIC VERSION, NO BONUS TRACKS BECAUSE IT HAD EVERYTHING THEY EVER RECORDED!
the Bhopal Stiffs-1985-1989 LP+CD
Yes! One of the great Chicago punk rock bands from the 80's finally sees some re-issue magic on vinyl! This great band lasted only a few years but made some really amazing music in that time. Two members of this band, singer/guitarist Larry Damore and bassist Steve Saylors formed Pegboy not long after their break up. So if you're a fan of Pegboy, the Effigies or Naked Raygun...you'll definitely like this!!!! This will be all studio songs from the discography on vinyl, but it will come with a copy of the CD, that has all the LP tracks plus all the bonus live songs(some of which are unreleased/never properly recorded songs.
This one is going to take a while because we're going to update the artwork from the Harmless Records version and try to include as many old flyers, set lists, etc. as possible...make it as fun and informative as possible.
Channels Waiting For the Next End of the World / Open EP 2xLP
Details are still being worked out on this but the plan is this will be both the full length and first EP from this Baltimore / Washington DC area band. The EP was released by Desoto and the full length Dischord, neither on vinyl...until now. Classic DC style post punk played by "some very well respected hacks of the music industry"!
Check 'em out at: the Channels Myspace page!
the Bhopal Stiffs "1985-1989" LP+CD
vinyl version of all the studio tracks on the discography that Harmless put out years ago...but with updated artwork and the CD with all the bonus live stuff that was kinda dodgy quality but included for posterity sake.
THS 7"
(it's a seeeecret!? but guess anyway!)
